Sophia is an actor, singer, and dancer based in Milwaukee Wisconsin. She is currently a Musical Theatre Major and Dance Minor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is set to graduate in 2025. She is excited to continue developing her skills and love for theatre throughout college!
In the fall semester of 2022, Sophia made her college stage debut in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. This was an amazing experience and she is thrilled to continue doing shows with her peers! She also played the role of "Davey" and was a featured dancer in Newsies in the summer of 2022 at a community theatre. Being able to portray this character on stage was incredibly empowering because this is a role typically played by a male presenting person. Playing Davey allowed her to use her lower range and brought a whole new meaning to the revolution since it was now lead by a female character.
Recently, Sophia landed her first lead role in college and was elated to play "Coda" in All Night Strut: A Jumpin Jivin Jam in March 2023 on UWM's Mainstage! This character was so close to her heart because it really brought her inner child out and allowed her to be curious and playful.
Sophia is working on dance shows at UWM and was just in WinterDances: Liminal. The piece she was in was choreographed by Dawn Springer. She was also in Springdances 2024 in a body percussion and tap dance piece choreographed by Richard Ashworth.
Most recently she appearred on Forte Theatre Company's stage in Hello Dolly! as a member of the female dance ensemble and Minnies understudy!
She is excited to announce that she is currently working on Finding Nemo Jr. with Forte Theatre Co. as their choreographer and assistant director, and will also be returning to the UWM stage in the Fall as Margo Crawford in Bright Star!
